ABOUT GASN
HISTORY- The Georgia Association of School Nurses was organized in 1991 to unite school nurses committed to providing quality health care services to school children. GASN remains dedicated to promoting excellence in school health through its continued education programs and advocacy.
MISSION- "GASN's mission shall be to promote the development of professional school nurses and improve the quality of health education and health services provided to Georgia Student by the school nurse in the public and private schools setting with the ultimate result being the enhancement of educational achievement.
LONG RANGE GOALS –
o To promote and advance the quality of school health services and health education throughout the state while remaining aware of the laws that governs nursing in the state of Georgia.
o To promote effective school nursing services and improve the health status of students to support the education process.
REPRESENTATION - The Georgia Association of School Nurses represents school nurses on state and national committees, which affect health services to children:

Georgia Partnership for School Health
……are just a few of GASN's special projects and liaisons. GASN is the only Georgia organization that represents school nurses and school nursing interests exclusively.
