  • Thank you Message from the President

Dear GASN Members, Speakers, Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Guests,

As President of GASN, I would like to start with two words -- THANK YOU! On behalf of the GASN Board of Directors, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2026 GASN Conference.

Your participation, engagement, and dedication helped make this year's conference an exceptional event. The educational sessions, inspiring presentations, meaningful discussions, and networking opportunities demonstrated the strength of our organization and our shared commitment to excellence.

We are especially grateful to our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, conference planning committee, and staff members whose hard work and support were instrumental in creating a memorable and impactful experience for all attendees.

The success of this conference reflects the passion, professionalism, and collaboration of our GASN community. Together, we continue to advance our profession, strengthen our organization, and make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.

Thank you for your commitment to GASN and for helping make the 2026 Conference such a remarkable success. We look forward to seeing you and your fellow colleagues in Savannah for the GASN 2027 Conference as we continue to learn, connect, and grow together.

    With appreciation,

    Dr. Valencia Beckley Hildreth
    President, GASN
On Behalf of the GASN Board of Directors

January 29, 2024

Several of the GASN Board Members (Karen Surio, Dr.Valencia Hildreth and Lynne Meadows) went to the Capitol on Monday for the Legislative Session to represent all the GA School Nurses advocating for upcoming House bills that will affect School Health along with School Nurse Funding Advocacy.

Thank you for Supporting and Representing all the Hardworking School Nurses of Georgia!

Our very own Lynne Meadows, Director of Health Services for Fulton County Schools, has received the highest honor that may be bestowed on a school nurse by NASN. She was inducted this past week Fellow of School Nursing. This award is VERY well deserved for one of our GA state nurse leaders. We are sooo incredibly proud! Congratulations Lynne Meadows!
