Our History

The Georgia Association of School Nurses was organized in 1991 to unite school nurses committed to providing quality health care services to school children. GASN remains dedicated to promoting excellence in school health through its continued education programs and advocacy.

  • Title V Partner Meeting Collaboration

    Several of Georgia's Lead Nurses represented at the 2025 Title V Partner Meeting with DPH and Emory University. Collaboration on priority setting and focusing on the needs of our children, youth with special health care needs and adolescents throughout the state.

  • 2025 GA Nurses Day at the Capitol

    Several of the GASN Board Members and School Nurses from around Ga went to the Capitol on Wednesday, 2/19/2025, advocating for upcoming changes to School Nurse Funding and 1 Nurse per School campaign.

    Several got to meet with Rep. Matt Dubnik who sits on the Education Subcommittee along with Will Wade, Governor Floor Leader, and District 68 Rep. Derrick Jackson.
